Ah, the sweet taste of a good BBQ sauce. Tangy, smokey and oh so saucy, a good quality BBQ sauce is a versatile tool in any chef’s kitchen.
Pretty much everyone knows the typical uses of BBQ sauce, use it as marinade for your chicken thighs, or as a dipping sauce with some crispy chips. Here at The Rib Company, we decided to get a bit experimental with our ideas, though that doesn’t mean these ideas are any less tasty!

Make a rockin’ salad dressing
Make a simple BBQ vinaigrette to add some flavour to your salad, simply whisk together lemon juice, pepper, vinegar and of course BBQ sauce. Whisk away and slowly add olive oil in small amounts until all the ingredients have blended nicely. Drizzle over your salad and enjoy!
Add to a platter of Nachos
Nachos are the perfect movie night snack for sharing. Preheat your oven to 180c, then add some tortilla chips to a flat baking tray, add the BBQ sauce and your favourite grated cheese for melting. Then add onions, tomatoes or whatever you like on top and leave it to bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese has melted. Delicious!
Pasta
Don’t let tomato sauce steal all the spotlight. Try adding some BBQ sauce as well as the tomato to your pasta along with some chicken bits and bacon. The BBQ sauce will give off a sweet
Use as a pizza base
Instead of tomato sauce, why not add some BBQ sauce to your pizza base? Works well with chicken and onions to give off a Texas-style vibe.
